Russian Dolls

I have been in love with Matryoshka dolls since I was a child.  This is my newly acquired set- bought on Etsy.
These originate from Yoshkar-Ola (Yoscar-Ola), a Russian city and the capital of the Mari El Republic. The name literally means Red City in the language of the Mari. These dolls are sometimes referred to as Marijaha dolls. The dolls are tightly nested and painted in bright, primary colors.
The colours are so vibrant and I love the little wee one!
